The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a Heat
Advisory, which is in effect from 10 AM to 8 PM CDT Saturday.

* TEMPERATURE...High temperatures in the upper 90s to around 100
  degrees with heat indices peaking in a range from 110 to 115
  degrees through this evening, but only peaking in a range of 105
  to 110 degrees on Saturday.

* IMPACTS...The combination of hot temperatures and high
  humidity will create a dangerous situation in which heat
  illnesses are likely. The very young, the elderly, those
  without air conditioning, and those participating in strenuous
  outdoor activities will be be particularly susceptible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

An Excessive Heat Warning means that a prolonged period of
dangerously hot temperatures will occur. The combination of hot
temperatures and high humidity will combine to create a dangerous
situation in which heat illnesses are likely. Drink plenty of
fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and
check up on relatives and neighbors.
