Winds will diminish this evening as high pressure builds overhead.
Low pressure will pass off the east coast late Friday. High
pressure will build toward the area through the weekend, then
another storm system will approach early next week. Temperatures
will undergo a gradual warming trend through the weekend.

A weak low pressure system will pass east across the area this
morning, triggering spotty and very light areas of snow, mainly in
the vicinity of Interstate 64. This system is expected to exit the
area by late morning, making for clearing skies through the
afternoon as winds shift from the west. Afternoon temperatures
will range from the low to mid 30s across the mountains, while the
Piedmont will warm into the upper 30s and low 40s. Breezy
conditions can be expected this evening through the overnight
hours as high pressure builds in from the west. Low temperatures
tonight will fall into the 20s areawide.
