Late this afternoon, skies were sunny north of a Nacogdoches, to San
Angelo, to Alpine line, and mostly cloudy south. Winds were out of
the northeast at 5 to 15 mph from Lubbock north into the Panhandle,
and west to southwest at 10 to 20 mph across the rest of the state.
Temperatures ranged from the lower 60s across the Caprock and
Panhandle, to the low and mid 70s in North Texas into west central
Texas, and upper 50s to lower 60s for the southern half of the state
underneath dense high clouds.
And now the forecast summary for West Central Texas. A dry cold
front will move across the area on Thursday. This will result in
cooler afternoon temperatures on Thursday and Friday with highs
mainly in the mid to upper 50s.
