Late this afternoon, skies were partly cloudy across the western
half of the state, with mostly cloudy skies from the Hill Country
northeast into the Toledo Bend Reservoir area with a few light
showers east of Nacogdoches, and just north of Austin. Winds were
northerly at 5 to 15 mph along and north of a Del Rio to Tyler line,
and south to southeast at 5 to 15 mph south of the same line.
Temperatures ranged from the mid 50s north of I-40, to the mid 80s
in South Texas. Temperatures in west central Texas ranged from the
mid 60s in the Big Country to the upper 70s along and south of I-10.
And now the forecast summary for West Central Texas. Expect partly
cloudy skies through this evening, with highs in the upper 60s to
upper 70s. Rain chances will return to the area on Sunday and
continue into the middle part of next week. Otherwise, mild
temperatures will continue through Tuesday. A strong cold front will
move across the area by Wednesday bringing much cooler temperatures
to the area.
