Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
609 PM EDT Sun Oct 21 2018
Sunday saw near-record cold high temperatures across the
Commonwealth in the wake of a series of cold fronts and brisk
northwesterly winds. Clouds will remain over the northern third of
the state overnight while clear skies elsewhere will allow for
temperatures to drop into the lower 30s by Monday morning.
Light winds and cold temps will lead to widespread frost Monday
morning. A Frost Advisory is in effect for York and Lancaster
counties, where the growing season has not ended. Afternoon highs
Monday will be in the upper 40s to low 50s, still about 5 to 10
degrees below average for this time of year.
A weak cold front will bring another chance for rain on Tuesday,
especially across the north. The rest of the week will remain
below average with mainly dry conditions through at least Friday.
