Weather Summary for SW VA...SE WV...and NW NC
National Weather Service Blacksburg VA
519 AM EST Mon Feb 19 2018
A warm front will move across southeast West Virginia, southwest
Virginia and northwest North Carolina today. Light to moderate
showers are expected primarily this morning, though rain amounts
will not be significant. The warm front will herald a warming
trend to temperatures and moisture levels also on the rise.
Tuesday and Wednesday will be well above normal in terms of
temperatures, with highs in the low 70s and lows in the 50s. These
are more typical for mid-May than mid-February.
Though a few showers and possibly some rumbles of thunder west of
the Blue Ridge are possible on Wednesday afternoon, the best
chance for rain is not until Thursday as a sagging cold front
drapes across the region.
