Weather Summary for the MidSouth
National Weather Service Memphis TN
405 AM CDT Wed Jul 18 2018

The Mid South will remain under northwest flow aloft through the
end of the week and into the first half of the weekend. A surface
boundary stretched across the area will be the focus for showers
and thunderstorms today. A series of upper level disturbances in
the flow aloft will keep chances for storms in the forecast
through Saturday. Hot and humid weather conditions will also
continue, only briefly cooled by storms in some areas.

A cold front will move across the region Saturday night with lower
dewpoints pushing into the Mid South for the end of the weekend
and into early next week. This will allow for dry weather to
return with continued hot temperatures but lower heat index
values through the extended forecast period.
