Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service Baltimore MD/Washington DC
1258 AM EST Tue Dec 9 2025

Here is a look at the weather features that will affect the region
over the next several days.

Canadian high pressure settles over the region through this
afternoon before drifting offshore. Cold conditions can be
expected again today in this response to this ridge. A quick
moving clipper system will pass through the Great Lakes Wednesday,
with the highest chance of precipitation in the Allegheny
Mountains. A secondary cold front follows suit on Thursday,
bringing a reinforcing shot of cold air to the region. Yet another
fast moving frontal system may reach the area by late Friday
leading to another cold weekend ahead. The mid to late week period
also brings numerous chances for Allegheny mountain snow showers.
