At 2:49 PM...Doppler radars detected widely scattered showers and thunderstorms across eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. This activity was moving off to the north and northeast at around 20 mph. Through 5:00 PM...Widely scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue across the area, with the greatest coverage expected north of interstate 40, and across far eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. The primary impacts from this activity will be locally heavy downpours and gusty winds to 50 mph. Dangerous cloud to ground lightning can also be expected in and close to thunderstorms. $$
