.DISCUSSION...
Critical fire conditions are not anticipated this week as a warm
and humid airmass remains in place. Minimum RH values will range
between 50 and 60 percent during the afternoon hours much of the
week and winds will be light and variable through midweek. By mid
to late week, a high pressure system will shift to the east and
winds will start to come more out of the south and southeast and
that should allow for a slow recovery in moisture. The next
chance of rain will be late in the week as a modest front moves
into the region. There may be areas of moderate to dense fog
development through a large part of this week.
Please discuss any fog potential and LVORI for the evening of the
17th morning of the 18th:
Fog potential for Tuesday night and into Wednesday looks patchy
at this time. The best potential will be south of the site, but
less than 2 sm visibilities are not far so changes are possible.
Roughly for 1sm or less the probabilities are around 20 to 30
percent closer to sunrise Wednesday. LVORI will climb to around
five at roughly the best fog probabilities around sunrise.
