HYSPLIT Meteorological Data

All of the HYSPLIT-compatible forecast data files are now available directly from NOAA NOMADS. The root ftp directory is located at: https://nomads.ncep.noaa.gov/pub/data/nccf/com/hysplit/prod/

We also have these data sets on our ARL ftp server located at: ftp://ftp.arl.noaa.gov/forecast/


HRRR 3 km (sigma)

The High Resolution Rapid Refresh (HRRR) model contains sigma level forecast data every hour from forecast hours 0 to 18 on a 3 km 1799 x 1059 grid covering the United States and Southern Canada.

NAM CONUS Nest (48 hr fcst, 3 km, 1 hrly, sigma-pressure hybrid)

The NAM model contains forecast data every hour from forecast hours 0 to 48 on a 3 km 1792 x 1059 grid covering the United States. There are 8 files per cycle with each one containing 6 hours of forecast data.

The NAM model contains forecast data every hour from forecast hours 0 to 48 on a 12 km 461 x 401 grid covering the continental United States. This is the full domain of the NAM Tiles (see below) and will replace the NAM Tiles at some date.
