European Tracer EXperiment (ETEX) was a single 12-hour perfluorocarbon release from Monterfil, Brittany FR (48.06N 002.01E) at 1600 UTC Oct. 23 1994.

168 sampling sites, scattered throughout central Europe, took 24 3-hour samples for about 3 days after the release.
