Forest Fire Smoke


  • Employ USFS tools to determine the emission rate:
    • Blue Sky modeling framework
    • Fire Emission Product Simulator
    • VSMOKE-HYSPLIT interface
  • Example uses NOAA's implementation of Blue Sky
  • Assumes the maximum rate from a prescribed burn as
    the rate from a continuous wildfire
