These products are produced from the NWS operational smoke forecasting system. Click on a thumbnail image to enlarge the image. For a history of model changes refer to the smoke forecast model change log.

This prediction is independent of the operational smoke forecast for the continental United States (CONUS) and therefore any smoke originating over the CONUS domain will not be included with other smoke originating in the Alaska domain. However, fires originating over Alaska are modeled in both the CONUS and Alaska forecasts.

The National Weather Service provides official smoke products for Alaska on the National Digital Guidance Database (NDGD) air quality website at http://www.weather.gov/aq/sectors/alaska.php
