This prediction is independent of the operational smoke forecast for the continental United States (CONUS) and therefore any smoke originating over the CONUS domain will not be included with other smoke originating in the Alaska domain. However, fires originating over Alaska are modeled in both the CONUS and Alaska forecasts.
