Paulding and eastern Polk Counties through 245 PM EDT...
At 213 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was over Rockmart, or 10 miles
east of Cedartown, moving southeast at 5 mph.
HAZARD...Up to 40 mph wind, frequent cloud to ground lightning and
heavy rain.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of
light, unsecured objects. Heavy rain may cause temporary
street flooding especially in poor drainage areas.
Locations impacted include...
Rockmart, Aragon, Braswell, Taylorsville, Yorkville, Fish Creek,
Antioch, Van Wert, and Seney.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
People outdoors should seek shelter immediately. If you can hear

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are ongoing in portions of the
area this morning and remain possible through this afternoon. A
few strong storms could produce small hail, locally heavy
rainfall, gusty winds, and frequent lightning.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday...
Additional showers and thunderstorms are expected Monday.
Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible
generally across portions of north Georgia Tuesday and Wednesday,
with scattered thunderstorms returning to the rest of the forecast
area by Thursdsay and Friday.

miles southeast of Everett, or 7 miles southwest of Darien. A strong
thunderstorm was nearly stationary.
HAZARD...Wind gusts around 40 mph and pea size hail.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

STEPHENS COUNTY UNTIL 400 PM EDT...
At 324 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a thunderstorm with
torrential rainfall 5 miles north of Toccoa, or 5 miles southeast of
Tallulah Gorge State Park, moving northeast at 15 mph.
Locations to be impacted include...
Toccoa.
Very heavy rainfall rates up to 2 inches per hour will be possible in
these areas.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Torrential rainfall may flood areas with poor drainage, such as
ditches and underpasses. Avoid these areas and do not cross flooded
roads. Water levels of small streams may also rise rapidly. Seek
higher ground if threatened by flood waters.
