...Damage Surveys For April 27 2024 Tornadoes...
Four NWS damage survey crews are in the field collecting data from
Saturday's storms. We have crews inspecting Sulphur, Holdenville,
Stillwater, Kay County, Garfield County, and Marietta today.
Additional tracks in Knox and Baylor County will be inspected
later this week.
With the number of storms and damage, this damage survey will not
be finalized today. However, we will provide updates late this
afternoon or this evening. We appreciate your patience with what
will be an ongoing investigation.

...Preliminary Damage Survey Results...
NWS damage surveys are ongoing, but we have been able to determine
some preliminary ratings.
Sulphur: we can confirm at least an EF3. Further investigation is
necessary to determine if the rating will go higher or not.
Marietta: we can confirm at least an EF3. Further investigation
is necessary to determine if the rating will go higher or not.
Stillwater: EF0 on the northwest side of the city. Max winds 70
mph.
Newkirk: EF0 on the west and north of the city. Max winds 75 mph.
More details will be released as data is investigated.

in Okfuskee County. The tornado damaged a home, snapped or uprooted
trees, and blew down power poles.
